Cross County Recent Arrest Channels
Start with the Cross County Sheriff inmate roster. Use it when someone may be held at the Cross County Detention Center. It is the official source for county bookings. Searchers type a first or last name, then sort by newest or oldest. Tabs split current inmates from released ones. A June 2026 sheriff announcement describes coverage timing. It covers people booked or released within the last 48 hours. That wording still does not promise a rolling 24-hour arrest feed. It also does not set the moment a web card appears. A booking time marks intake itself.
Cross County publishes no multi-day arrest blotter. So common search windows differ. A current roster can still hold an older booking, because the person remains confined. Someone released, though, may drop out of the public view fast.
| Search need | Best starting point | What the window means |
|---|---|---|
| New or same-day booking | Arrests Last 24 Hours | Use the official roster and its described last-48-hour booking or release coverage. |
| Several days of events | Police Blotter | No complete official county log was found; compare dated records and event reports. |
| One person's custody changes | VINELink Custody Check | Statewide custody data and optional release or transfer notices. |

How Cross County Arrests Are Booked
The Cross County Detention Center takes in everyone arrested and brought to county custody in Cross County. Booking is hands-on work. There is computer entry, fingerprinting, and a mugshot. A search, clean clothes, and a housing assignment follow. The jail holds pretrial detainees, sentenced county inmates, people awaiting transport to the Arkansas Division of Correction, and Act 309 state prisoners on local work. On the roster those groups look alike, even though their legal status differs.
None of this happens instantly. Transport and intake come first, and staff then key in the details the roster runs on. No exact posting time or refresh interval is promised. An empty search can mean several things. Intake may still be underway, a spelling may differ, the person may have been cited rather than jailed, or another agency may hold the record; for a timely answer, call the sheriff at 870-238-5700.
A sheriff's website and app announcement explains the recent booking-and-release function in more detail.

The sheriff's announcement page spells out how the booking-and-release tool works. It works well as an explanation. The live roster answers current questions. That is where a fresh Cross County booking appears.
Search the Cross County Roster
The live roster does more than list names. Enter a first or last name. Show All works too, with paging and sorting by name or date. Tabs separate Current from Released. An individual profile link can open a booking photograph, the person's name, a booking number, age, booking date and time, and charge text. Released profiles may add a release date and time, and results shift constantly, so save that booking number for any later record request.
| Roster control or field | How it helps |
|---|---|
| First or last name | Narrows the roster without requiring both names. |
| Current / Released | Separates people shown in custody from recent release entries. |
| Newest / Oldest | Changes order; it does not prove when the page refreshed. |
| Booking number and time | Identifies the intake event for a precise request. |
| Charge and bond detail | Reports intake information, not the final court outcome. |
| Booking photograph | Identifies the booked person when the official profile displays it. |
A sound roster check is short and repeatable.
- Open the sheriff's official roster, then search the last name and try a first name if needed.
- Check both Current and Released. Use newest sorting, but read the booking time on the profile.
- Record the booking number, arresting agency, and date before contacting the sheriff or court.
- Verify charges through Search ARCourts after a case is filed.
The official current-roster view shows the layout used for live custody searches.

Think of the roster as a live index. It changes as Cross County bookings come and go. The tool is not a permanent arrest archive. Entries simply reflect what the jail shows at that moment.
Note: The sheriff's disclaimer says roster information is gathered for convenience and is not certified for accuracy or authenticity.
Where Cross County Arrests Appear
Check official channels first. Each answers a different custody question. The roster covers county detention, while the sheriff app handles navigation and push alerts. Arkansas VINE tracks custody status, and ARCourts follows a filed case. The Arkansas Division of Correction search applies only after someone enters state custody. So none of these tools replaces another.
| Channel | Official? | Photo and scope |
|---|---|---|
| Cross County inmate roster | Yes | Booking photo may display; current and recent-release county custody. |
| Sheriff app and alerts | Yes | Roster access, warrants, wanted notices, press releases, and selected push alerts. |
| Search ARCourts | Yes | No booking-photo function; filed cases and later court events. |
| Arkansas inmate search | Yes | State offender information and photo, not county-jail detainees. |
| Local news reports | No | Selected events only, not a complete booking log. |
| County-local private indexes | No | Copies may carry images but can be stale or incomplete. |
Third-party sites come second. RecentlyBooked Cross County, Arrests.org's Cross County index, and Mugshots.zone's Cross County page are not sheriff records. Treat them as leads. Check their labels, dates, and images. Verify them against the official roster, the arresting agency, and the court docket. Local outlets like The Wynne Progress and NEA Report cover selected events. Neither offers a complete official blotter.
Cross County Arrest App Alerts
The sheriff's website and mobile app relaunched in June 2026. The app is easy to find. Search an app store for “Cross County Sheriff's Office, AR.” The official sheriff app page works too. Listed features include the inmate roster, warrants, most wanted notices, press releases, crime tips, sheriff messages, sex-offender information, services, and contact tools. Push categories cover Inmate Roster and Most Wanted. General office news has its own category.
Email and text signup also exist. Both run through the sheriff alert service. Alerts are prompts, not proof of confinement, so open the official roster after any notification. Arkansas VINE handles ongoing release or transfer tracking.
The official app page lists the download path and the full tool set.

The capture helps identify the official app rather than a similarly named third-party product.
Recent Arrests by Cross County City
City police and the county jail split the paperwork after a Cross County arrest. Wynne, Parkin, or Cherry Police may hold the incident report from the street stop. The sheriff's booking record begins later. It starts when the person arrives at the Cross County Detention Center. That division of labor trips people up. City hall will not always have the jail photo. The sheriff cannot hand over a police narrative another agency wrote.
- Wynne Recent Arrests covers the Wynne Police report path, county booking, Wynne District Court, and the city's separate safety systems.
- Parkin Recent Arrests explains the Parkin Police contact, centralized county booking, and absence of a city arrest feed.
- Cherry Valley Recent Arrests separates Cherry Police records, sheriff dispatch, county intake, and city-court routing.
A blank city blotter proves nothing. Arrests in Cross County can still land in the county roster even when no city list exists. Check the jail roster first for the booking. Then ask the right police department for its own incident report.
Cross County Arrest Record Fields
Each document in an arrest file answers a different question. The incident report covers the police event itself. The booking record covers what happened at the jail. A court docket covers everything after charges were filed. The sheriff's public roster shows only a slice of that material. Keeping these records straight matters.
| Field | What it records |
|---|---|
| Name, age, identifying details | The identity attached to the booking. |
| Booking number | The sheriff's identifier for that intake event. |
| Booking date and time | When intake was recorded, not necessarily arrest or posting time. |
| Charge text | Accusations at booking; later filing and disposition may differ. |
| Bond details | The amount or status then associated with release conditions. |
| Release date and time | When the released view reports departure from county custody. |
| Booking photograph | An identification image taken during jail processing. |
- Booking
- The jail intake process after an arrest.
- Bond
- A court-set condition that can permit release while a case is pending.
- Disposition
- The recorded outcome of a charge or case.
- Sealing
- A legal process that limits access to an eligible record under Arkansas law.
Cross County Mugshots After Arrest
The detention center takes a booking photo when a person is booked in. The jail uses it to identify the person on a record. A roster profile may display the image while the person is in custody. Released people can drop out of that short public view fast. The booking record itself stays with the sheriff. Ask by name, booking number, and date instead of assuming the file vanished. The official roster search is the first place to look for a photo. State custody works differently. The Arkansas Division of Correction lists offender information. Its inmate search shows photos for people in state prison. Someone waiting on an ADC transfer will not show up there yet. The Bureau of Prisons locator handles federal prisoners. It publishes no photos. ICE runs its own locator. It covers a separate kind of federal custody. Neither one is a Cross County jail lookup.

The search page leads to official profiles without turning booking photographs into a gallery.
Request a Cross County Arrest Record
The Cross County Sheriff FAQ spells out what the office may release. Booking records, warrants, incident reports, citations, civil-process papers, and dispatch logs all appear on the list. Some entries carry exemptions. One limit stands out. The sheriff cannot hand over another agency's files. If a Wynne, Parkin, or Cherry officer wrote the report, ask that department directly. The office publishes no online photo request form and no fixed photo fee. Its contact page lists 1600 South Falls Blvd, Wynne, AR 72396 and 870-238-5700. A county page has shown a different address. Call ahead to confirm the right custodian before you mail anything.
- Identify the full name, approximate age or birth date, booking date, booking number, and arresting agency.
- Ask the correct custodian for the releasable booking record and photograph, or for the police incident report.
- Request inspection or an electronic copy, and ask for an estimate before costs are incurred.
- If material is withheld, request the non-exempt parts and the statutory basis for each withholding.
Arkansas Code § 25-19-105 sets the request rules. Requests can arrive by several channels and must be specific enough to identify the record. Charges are generally limited to actual reproduction, mailing, or transmission costs. An estimate above $25 may require advance payment. The three-working-day rule covers records in active use or storage. It is not a promise of instant service. Exemptions can cover active investigations, juvenile matters, sealed records, and some personnel files. The sheriff's public forms page shows the current routes.

Check the official page before sending anything. Forms and delivery routes change without notice. A request that follows old instructions can sit unopened. The current page settles both questions.
Arkansas Arrest Photo and Sealing Law
Arkansas FOIA opens the door, but not every record walks through it. The sheriff lists active investigations, sealed or expunged court records, juvenile matters, and certain personnel files as possible limits. Local booking files are one thing. ACIC and NCIC criminal-history information is another. Ask narrow. A request for a single Cross County booking works far better than a demand for everything tied to a name. Arkansas Code § 4-75-102 governs private publish-for-pay booking-photo sites. A covered operator must post contact information and offer free receipt verification for a written removal request. Qualifying content must come down within five business days. Payment cannot be required. That law binds the private sites, not the sheriff. It sets no timetable for an official booking image, so never pay a service for a process that is free by statute. Sealing works differently. Eligibility depends on the offense and the outcome of the case. Act 1460 and later Arkansas law cover dismissed, acquitted, unfiled, misdemeanor, felony, pardon, and prior-arrest records, with no single waiting period across the board. ACIC cannot pick your form. It directs people to counsel or Arkansas Legal Aid and warns that its repository may take up to 30 days after a filed order to update.
Sealing a record at the courthouse is only step one. The order binds the government, not the internet. News archives, search engines, and private indexes keep their own copies. Send valid documents to each source directly.
RecentlyBooked and Mugshots.zone each publish free policy routes for removal. Those processes run outside the courts. A successful petition to one site will not touch a court file. When a source page changes, Google's Refresh Outdated Content tool or Bing's Content Removal Tool can clear the stale search result. Search engines cannot fix the sheriff's original record.
Cross County Arrest Warrants
The inmate roster won't cover warrants. For those, use the Cross County Sheriff warrant search, which supports name search, sorting, and pagination. Entries can show age, warrant date, and charge text. The sheriff's FAQ also takes phone calls about warrants. Ask for the warrant date, charges, bond amount, and issuing court. Lists change often, and the sheriff disclaims guaranteed accuracy. Confirm any status directly before acting.
A separate Most Wanted page exists too. Its legacy display counted arrests credited to tips since May 2009, not people wanted today. Never approach anyone on it. Tips belong in the official crime-tip form. Call 911 for a real emergency, and note that the form is not monitored around the clock. Anyone checking on a personal warrant should work through the court, an attorney, or the sheriff to resolve it safely.
After a Cross County Arrest
A roster card is just the start. Arraignment is the first court appearance, where charges and release conditions get addressed. The docket that follows may show filings, hearings, amendments, dismissals, or pleas. Cross County District Court, city courts, and circuit court each play different roles depending on the agency and the charge.
For case details, use Search ARCourts. The Cross County Circuit Clerk keeps criminal circuit proceedings and helps citizens run searches. Wynne District Court sits at 205 Mississippi Street. Its number is 870-238-9171. Verify the courtroom and schedule before you travel. A Parkin or Cherry Valley police case may follow its own city-court route.
Why does the disposition matter? Booking charges can be amended, reduced, or dismissed. Only the later court record shows the outcome.
Records Beyond Cross County Custody
Custody doesn't always stay at the detention center. The Arkansas Division of Correction search applies once a sentenced person has entered state custody. You can query it by ADC number, county, name, facility, gender, offense category, age, or race, and the full database is downloadable. It skips people still awaiting transport.
Federal custody works differently. The Bureau of Prisons Inmate Locator tracks federal prisoners, with records for many people held from 1982 onward. It publishes no inmate photographs, though. Immigration custody falls to the ICE Online Detainee Locator. United States Marshals custody can involve local holding with no Cross County roster entry at all. Match the name and identifier, then verify any result with the agency that owns it.
Older local records can leave the live roster. That doesn't mean they vanish from government hands. Request the booking file from the sheriff, the incident report from the arresting agency, and the disposition from the court. A source-by-source trail beats treating one shifting web list as a full arrest history.
